Meet The Buyer: Social Procurement In Oxfordshire

Meet public and private sector organisations providing social procurement opportunities for impact enterprises in Oxfordshire.
This event, in collaboration with Oxford City Council and other local leading stakeholders, will explore social procurement opportunities with prospective local buyers for Social Enterprises, purposeful businesses and trading charities in Oxfordshire.
It will also enable enterprises to gain a better understanding of what products and services buyers might be interested in procuring, and how to approach them with their particular business offer.
Who is it for?
This event is aimed at SMEs that are Social Enterprises, social entrepreneurs, enterprising charities and other purposeful businesses, seeking to establish relationships with interested buyers in Oxfordshire, as well as buyers in Oxfordshire seeking to support local, social enterprises and diversify their supply chains.
Facilitator
Paul Roberts
Paul is the Chief Executive Officer of the award-winning housing and employment charity and social enterprise, Aspire, and a Director of Aspire’s trading company, Aspire Enterprise Services. Paul joined Aspire in 2012 and has been at the forefront of significant organisational growth. Paul is also a co-founder of the Oxfordshire Homeless Movement, a Director of Makespace Oxford (Community Interest Company) and a Director of the Oxfordshire Social Entrepreneurship Partnership (OSEP CIC). Prior to joining Aspire, Paul was a British Diplomat for six years. Paul previously volunteered at Asylum Welcome in Oxford and as a Generalist Adviser for the Citizens’ Advice Bureaux. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy.
Aspire, is one of six eScalate Enterprise Hubs in Oxfordshire.
About the eScalate Programme
eScalate, is a three-year project, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) which runs until April 2023 to support Social Enterprises, social entrepreneurs, enterprising charities and purposeful businesses in Oxfordshire.
