Overview
This workshop is designed to encourage you to focus on the fundamentals of a successful business and develop a viable, successful and sustainable business plan.
The workshop will be delivered by two of our experienced business experts, providing practical content to help you learn and make progress on the day, alongside a group of supportive peers. The sessions will help you to:
• Develop your critical thinking skills
• Develop a collaborative mindset
• Develop your creativity
• Develop your understanding of how ideas can become actions
• Develop your understanding of why businesses succeed or fail
• Know where to access more support to start and grow your business
You will finish the day with a clear plan on how to move your business forward and reach your next milestone.

The workshop will be in two sessions 9:30 -12:30 and 1:30 – 4:30 (lunch is not provided)
Presenters
Lesley McKie is an experienced provider of mentoring and support to SMEs. She’s a business owner and manager with a strong background in consultancy and leads marketing and communications (online and offline) for a range of clients. Her coaching and mentoring skills arise from her advanced training and experience as a corporate coach with KPMG. More recently, she has worked with businesses in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Worcestershire as a Peer Networks facilitator, as a Growth Hub Business Advisor and Startup Business Adviser.
Ant Parsons is a business and environmental innovator, who uses his creative leadership to help organisations think differently about problems and opportunities. He facilitates a wide range of business support groups in Oxfordshire and Worcestershire and has worked with hundreds of businesses in the last 2 years. He also works on a broad range of projects across the research, technology, business and impact landscape in the UK and overseas. Ant has a passion for supporting sustainable business growth in Oxfordshire and an in-depth knowledge of the business support community.
