WBIC Heart Month Raffle Success
In the heart of Witney, a heartwarming initiative took place this February. Witney Business and Innovation Centre decided to join in the spirit of Heart Month by organising a simple yet impactful raffle. With the support of local businesses like Costa Witney, Trustin Foods, and neighbouring shops, they managed to raise £196 for the British Heart Foundation.
The idea was straightforward: gather prizes from the community and sell raffle tickets. It was a win-win situation. Members at the centre had the chance to win fantastic prizes, while the proceeds went towards supporting an important cause.
The response was fantastic, with members from various organisations such as the NHS, Search Intelligence, Meica Technical Services and Cotswold Water Services joining in the fun and winning exciting prizes. It was a lovely demonstration of community spirit and support for a cause that affects so many.
As Heart Month wraps up, the impact of the Witney Business and Innovation Centre’s initiative will continue to be felt. Their effort serves as a reminder that acts of kindness, no matter how small, can have a ripple effect, spreading positivity and support throughout the community.
