DESCRIPTION:Overview \nBeing in business right now can be tough! Add to that the dark January months and cost of living crisis. Looking after your mental health and that of your staff has never been more important. \nThis workshop will introduce you to Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) within your organisation. \nRegardless of size\, from start up through to ££million business\, the concept is the same. This workshop will help you understand why it is important for any business to have in place a support mechanism to ensure Mental Health First Aid is as high on the priority list as Physical First Aid and how it is nothing to be feared and simple to implement. \nWhat will the workshop cover? \nThis workshop will explore some long held beliefs\, stigmas and more importantly\, possible bias and fear of talking about ‘mental health’. We will share simple steps to implementing a Mental Health First Aid approach. We will also offer some figures on the potential costs of not having anything in place in your organisation to support everyone. \nWho is presenting? \nAlyson Flynn has created The Welfare Hub from her training background\, knowledge of Mental Health and as a business owner. She is a qualified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and Trauma therapist. \nThe Welfare Hub is a one stop shop for businesses to use for Mental Health Awareness and Mental Health First Aid training\, offering consultancy and support to ensure more businesses are engaged in MHFA\, continuing past the training to ongoing support and understanding that each business is unique.

SUMMARY:How to know if your digital marketing is paying off - workshop
DESCRIPTION:This month’s speaker is Ollie Hawkins\, Head of Client Services at Zest Digital. Ollie lives in Banbury\, is a techie at heart\, plays golf badly\, and was once voted ‘Rear of the Year’… back in 1994 as the Pampers nappy baby! \nHe’ll be teaching us how to find out if our digital marketing efforts are working – as in actually making us money\, by bringing people to our website (or another online point of sale) and then converting them into customers – as well as how to improve our strategy and set realistic goals. \nWe’ll start by looking at exactly what you should be measuring (things like traffic\, conversion rates\, lead-to-sale\, average order value vs lifetime value\, etc) and how you can get hold of and make sense of that data. That will tell you how much revenue is currently coming from your digital marketing efforts. \nThen Ollie will be talking us through how to set new goals and what to do to meet them. It starts with understanding wider business growth goals and working backwards\, figuring out how many leads you’ll need and therefore how much traffic. So we’ll also be digging into more detailed questions around SEO (like how to know which keywords you should be aiming to rank for)\, Pay Per Click ads (like how you can influence click costs)\, and tips for paid social advertising.

SUMMARY:Investor Pitching Fast Track
DESCRIPTION:Equity investment can be an excellent way to fund growth and investors can bring more than capital to the table\, many bring a wealth of expertise\, experience\, and contacts that serve to further expedite growth objectives. But how do you reach investors and how do you optimally prepare in order to ‘stand out’ from the hundreds and thousands of approaches they receive. \nFollowing OxLEP’s hugely successful ‘Pitch to the Panel’ events\, we are running yet another 2-day Investor Pitching Fast Track workshop\, specifically designed to take you from zero to comprehensive pitch deck able to withstand investor scrutiny. Workshop modules have been specifically designed to share best practice and cover the essential elements of a pitch deck\, whilst guest speakers have been chosen to highlight what investors look for\, and the Harwell Campus location provides the ability to collaborate closely with and learn from your peers in small groups throughout. \nDay one of the two-day event follows an intensive agenda of core learning\, peer discussion\, guest presentations\, and hands on support from specialists. Day two allows for additional pitch deck building and preparation before ‘pitching practice’ begins. Each delegate will have the opportunity to pitch their proposition for 10 minutes with 5 minutes Q&A and invaluable feedback from their peers. \nWhat better way to prepare for your investment journey than being surrounded by specialists able to inform your pitch content and trusted peers helping you finetune your delivery?
