How did you start your company?
David and I were fishing buddies and as MD of a US aerospace business, he was asked to recommend a company to be considered to undertake a global rebrand. He nominated me and after several months of credentials and a trip to USA I won. We worked together on the project and after it was complete he left to join me on the basis that aerospace needs our type of work. It turns out they don’t but my brand and marketing strategy and his business strategy and business running experience is a good combination and we are now applying this to clients in all sorts of other sectors. PS we still go fishing a lot.
What are you working on at the moment?
Not as much as we would like to be since the completion of a second rebrand for the aerospace client following their acquisition of a competitor and the launch of a new learning and development brand which kept us busy in 2017 but both finished in December, so now our focus is new business.
We are creating a high level (‘C Suite’) leadership programme to be delivered by our ex-special forces client and an ex PWC leadership guru. We are also wooing a significant online ladies fashion brand and an innovative software company in food supply chain management and creating a brand strategy and name for a new digital marketing consultancy.
What do you like about Witney BIC / how does this fit with you needs?
Well first the lovely people that run it (take a bow Alli and the team) The best part of the WIC experience is that it is so convenient from its location, to parking, access to facilities and it is easy to get things done because the management are so friendly and co-operative. I also need to say that communication is very good indeed. There is a diverse mix of companies and we have found the other companies to be very friendly and helpful and not in any way intrusive. I would , and have recommended WIC to several companies.
How do you see the future of your Company?
Our plan is to grow but to stay small. The challenge is to seek new business while we are really busy on current business. T’was ever thus!!!!
