Biometrics firm chooses Witney BIC as new EU headquarters

Argus Global based at Witney Innovation Centre.

An award winning biometrics firm, responsible for introducing the first bail management system to a UK prison, has made Witney Business & Innovation Centre its European headquarters.

Initially established in Australia, Argus Global provides a number of public and private sector organisations with fingerprint and iris based systems used for access to buildings, tracking time and attendance and controlling visitor movements.  

Commenting on the business, Paul Coombes, Argus Global’s regional director, explains: “There is huge potential for growth across the UK and Europe in both the public and private sectors.  Biometric technology has military encryption standards offering organisations security reassurance in addition to improving customer experiences through personalisation opportunities.”
